Lisa and Malcolm held Max’s Bar Mitzvah at Luton Hoo in Bedfordshire. This large house has been around since the early 1600’s and is a popular shoot venue for TV and movie companies. Luton Hoo has been the backdrop for such popular films as Four Weddings and a Funeral, Enigma, Eyes Wide Shut, Inspector Morse, Vanity Fair and Bleak House to name but a few. (Enigma has to be my personal favourite by the way … what a film!)
Here are some of my favourite shots from the evening. There were a large number of guests and the professional dancers had everyone up on the dance floor all evening! The Israeli dancing was fun too as you can see from the expression on Max’s face in the first image below.
Max is learning the drums and it was impressive to see him show off his skills in front off such an audience. I certainly wouldn’t have had that level of confidence when I was his age!
I thought that the Silent Disco was a great idea. It made for some atmospheric photographs with the green glow in the dark from the headphones everyone was wearing. It was fun to watch everyone react to the music they were hearing!
