Lucy and Will’s christmas wedding took place in the gorgeous little church down the road from the family home in Leicestershire. Afterwards, everyone went back to The White House for the reception … or should I say the party really took of when everyone got out of the church.
Lucy and Will had a large marquee at home and had turned the inside of it into a Christmas winter wonderland complete with video footage of falling snow on the walls of the marquee.
Christmas weddings are a real challenge to shoot because of the really low light and that it gets dark so early. I really enjoy the challenge though and I was pleased that Lucy and Will and gone to so much effort with the lighting inside the marquee so I was able to play a little with the ambient light as well as having plenty of my own thrown into the mix as well.
We had people standing on chairs during speeches; laughter and tears. The band were excellent and the dancing was crazy (the fancy dress just amplified the dancing even more when that came out towards the end of the evening.
Thanks guys for being so welcoming for the two days I was with you all.
