I am an experienced Northbrook Park wedding photographer. I have photographed several weddings at this excellent Surrey wedding venue. Northbrook Park is a Grade 2 listed estate which was built in the 18th century. It is located a mile or two outside the market town of Farnham. Erika and Marc hired the venue for their Jewish wedding chuppah ceremony and also the reception and breakfast.
The Vine Room is where the wedding ceremonies take place. It is really great for photography because of the abundance of natural light. The marble floors and white-washed walls bounce the daylight around so the photographs has a real, natural feel. Many English country houses have quite dark, oak panelled rooms, as such Northbrook Park feels light and airy by comparison.
Erika and Marc held the wedding breakfast and the dancing in the Orangery. These two are such a happy pair. Always smiling and laughing. I loved working with them. We took some lovely portraits in the grounds before the crazy Israeli dancing all started. Northbrook has 120 acres to wander and lose yourself in. It was nice for them to be able to spend some quiet moments together away from the madding crowds. While we were shooting the portraits a few waiters came with drinks and canapés for everyone which was a nice touch.
This wedding was also featured on the Smashing The Glass wedding blog. Click here to read their impressions of the day and also see some more images that they chose. The article talks about the flowers and details too.
