On friday I went to a massive Sikh temple in Kent. To give you some idea, according to the BBC, it is the largest outside India! I was there with a client of mine who I am shooting two weddings and an engagement party for later this month. The wedding at the temple is going to be sizeable with over 300 friends and family attending. When a wedding is complex (as these will be) it is important for me to do planning and the preparation that includes venue visits like this. I have test shots from the temple now that I can review with my photography partner on the day. I want to plan for a select number of awesome portraits of the bride and groom at the temple after the wedding as there is so much spectacular architecture to be taken advantage of. Time will be very tight though (as ever) and having seen the temple now I will be able to plan these shots creatively beforehand and so the execution of them will be quick for the client and I will also have my creative expectations satisfied too! 🙂
Here is a link to a BBC piece about the temple which you may like to have a look over.
