I remember the first time that I spoke to Sandra and Rami. It was on the phone and they were in the car driving in a snow blizzard in Canada. I can still remember the excitement in Sandra’s voice as she explained the hopes she and Rami had for the big day in London and how their friends and family were going to to be flying in from all over the world to London’s amazing V&A Museum.
I am proud to be able to show the images from their epic wedding which took place in London at the wonderful Victoria & Albert Museum of Art and Design. The V&A is a truly spectacular place in its own right let alone when you have the whole place to yourself and your nearest and dearest for the biggest day in your life – your wedding day! The museum only has a select, small number of weddings each year and I am privileged to have shot a couple there over recent years and, talking from the perspective of a photographer, this is certainly a venue that benefits from past experience. The layout of the building is massive. There are so many amazing photo opportunities.
Here is a link to Shahil and Ragini’s wedding that I also shot at the V&A. I love the photos we took in the Jewellery Room. Being surround by literally priceless pieces of wearable art was something else.
Sandra & Rami had a pre wedding party for 150 guests at home before the wedding and the first shot below is taken from that evening. I love how the garden lights at night work to surround them (as well as their ‘moment’ together). 🙂
All in all, I believe that, large complex weddings at intricate venues such as the V&A really can bring the best photography out of my and my assistants. Given the right planning and preparation great images can bring the best out of the venues and the people on the big day.
