Victoria & Albert Museum Wedding Photography

I am thrilled to have been a Victoria & Albert Museum wedding photographer several times now. As am an experienced photographer and have photographed weddings in many amazing venues but the V&A is one of the most unusual. The V&A is probably the world’s foremost museum of art and design. In the evening it can be transformed into your exclusive, central London wedding venue. Too me that is an amazing thing!

The John Madejski Garden is a wonderful space that is truly stunning in the evening. From the perspective of a V&A wedding photographer I really appreciate the efforts that go into lighting the garden. You can see what I mean in an exciting picture from the garden in the gallery. The garden has the capacity to cater for up to 600 guests as well which is really good if you have a large wedding like the ones I photographed there.

I have photographed pre-dinner drinks and a first dance in the Dorothy & Michael Hintze Sculpture Galleries. This space is littered with awe inspiring sculptures. What a place to photograph in! It is linked to the John Madejski Garden as well so your guests can flow easily between the two environments. So impressive!

The Dome with its massive ceiling and classical architecture is such an impressive environment for wedding receptions and breakfasts. A truly impressive place to make your speeches in!

It is really important to hire a very experienced photographer that knows and understands this venue well in my opinion. It is possible to choose a couple of the gallery’s exhibition spaces to take portraits in and a thorough understanding of lighting is key to getting the best out of these complex spaces. The particularly love the space that houses the V&A’s jewellery collection for example. Please do drop your details into the contact for below and lets chat about your big day at one of the most special paces in London for your wedding.
